Our trip design process includes collaborating with you and your family to understand your travel goals, intentions, and aspirations. We then create itineraries to destinations where you can explore the ways of the people, traditions, and cultures.

Step 1: We want to get to know YOU

At Global Family Travels, we know that there is no ‘one-size-fits-all' dream vacation. That is why we take time at the beginning of each collaboration to really understand your family’s interests, needs, and goals for your global adventure.  Once you decide to work with us, we have you fill out an extensive questionnaire and collect a $500 trip deposit per traveler to secure our services.

Step 2: Pick a Travel Theme!

After getting a sense of who your family is, we work with you to come up with a theme for your trip and also share trips we have already designed that support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs), such as conservation, quality education, and clean water and sanitation. You may also consider something more abstract such as “out of my comfort zone,” as a theme! Having a theme helps bring focus to your trip and ensure that every excursion is the right fit.

Step 3: GFT’s Three Pillars

Global Family Travels operates with the three pillars of Learn, Serve, and Immerse. Every product we design meets these standards. 

• Learn: Families will participate in informal discussions and be provided reading materials and guidance in learning about their destinations prior to their departure. Your adventure will also incorporate opportunities to learn directly from the country and its people.

• Serve: Each tour we provide includes chances to work with the host community on local projects that better the community. Through these experiences, travelers can more intimately connect with the host community and grow as global citizens.

• Immerse: It is our belief that to really experience a destination, you must spend time
  living like a local! We have incredible connections all over the world for families to
  experience homestays, cooking classes, and authentic connections.

that share our passion for regenerative travel. Using our company’s 13 years of knowledge and experience and our connections to experts within your destination, we will make your dream adventure come to life. We will work with them and you to determine the best itinerary for your family and goals.

Step 5: Beyond Take-Off

We will work closely with you leading up to your trip and during it! According to your schedule, we will have regular check-ins to see how the adventure is going and help you navigate any changes that may need to occur. Life happens, even on vacation, and we will be there to help make it continue as smoothly as possible.
