Set your intentions, and travel with HEART on Global Family Travels' 8-Limbs of Yoga retreat to North India in the Spring of 2020 with a focus on a path to self-awareness and purpose. Through Global Family Travels' three pillars of Learn, Serve & Immerse, you will learn about the origins of yoga in India and the 8-fold path, gain wisdom from spiritual practitioners from all walks of life in India, including from Buddhist monks, nuns and Hindu Gurus and yogis, and share daily with your fellow travelers what you are learning along the journey.
You will also immerse in rural community of Dehradun and the Ladakhi Buddhist culture by purposefully engaging with the local people to learn about their culture, and provide acts of service to support several non-profits supporting quality education as we travel.
Our Learn, Serve & Immerse trip is a truly Alaskan experience, embracing our 49th state’s frontier communities, cultural heritage, and breathtaking natural beauty. Through partnerships with Read On the Fly and StoryTracks, this trip is dedicated to promoting and enhancing literacy through a unique, interactive series of events and activities with local children. Your family will learn about the challenges facing some of our most rural northern communities and how to be a force for change, while exploring Alaskan culture, geography, art, and adventure.
Costa Rica:
​Learn, Serve & Immerse
Join Global Family Travels in an incredible journey to delve into the culture and wildlife of Costa Rica. Participants will cultivate deep bonds with this coastal country through an immersive homestay and opportunities to work together on community projects to promote positive change. Alongside fun, outdoor adventures such as exploring Costa Rica’s rainforests, volcanoes, wildlife reserves, beaches and lagoons, guests will enjoy a range of activities including chocolate-making and pottery workshops.
A highlight of this tour is sure to be the homestay with a host family, living as they do, helping to prepare meals and participating in the daily routine of the house.
Zimbabwe: Safari and

Join us on a culturally immersive trip to support Tag International Development‘s youth development and agricultural programs in Kenya. Besides awe-inspiring safaris to discover the extraordinary wildlife in the Mara North Conservancy and Masai Mara National Reserve, as part of the Learn, Serve and Immerse components of this journey, you will be engage with the community of Kisumu, empower girls and their education, work with Kenyan farmers and support youth access to vocational training.
Explore the rich cultural heritage and beauty of Ladakh, India while learning photography and visual storytelling skills from Merrill Images. In partnership with the Ladakh Arts & Media Organization (LAMO), we will also help showcase the vital work of Ladakhi non-profits that are preserving cultural heritage and fostering sustainable development
