COVID-19 and
Safe Travel Protocols

Safe and Flexible Travel Guaranteed

Global Family Travels has always been committed to offering safe and sustainable, community-based travel experiences to help make a positive impact on the lives of people and natural habitats where we visit.  The health and safety of Global Family Travels travelers, community partners, colleagues and guides is of paramount importance to us.

Global Family Travels continuously evaluates our travel operations to keep our travel community safe, and we remain in contact with our ground operators, air providers, and our security team to compile expert advice to make operational decisions based on public health recommendations.

Global Family Travels has implemented operational health COVID-19 Safety Protocols  to mitigate and manage the risks associated with COVID-19.   We have adopted COVID-19 Health and Safety guidelines, developed in collaboration with the Adventure Travel & Trade Association (ATTA) and Cleveland Clinic, as well as the Washington State’s public health policies.

These critical health and operational measures ensure that we can continue to offer tourism experiences with community partners and suppliers in a safe, responsible and sustainable way.

Public Health and Our Itineraries

In this era of COVID19, Global Family Travels’ itineraries focus on  family-friendly, outdoor adventures in the destinations we visit, keeping activities crowd-free and minimizing public transport. Certain programs may need to be modified at the last minute if there are unexpected crowds at our destination points.

If you are traveling with us, we recommend you refer to the specifics of the COVID-19 protocols for each destination under the “Tasks” associated with your specific trip  page for your tour.   Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about the specific safety protocols for your tour.

Thank you for your interest and continued trust for returning clients. We look forward to providing you with trips in the near future to Learn, Serve & Immerse.

Steps to Making Your Travel Plans

1. Plan Now!

Many trips that were planned for 2020 were postponed. Add eager travelers already planning their trips for next year, and space is becoming more and more limited. So don’t wait to start planning!

2. Use a Travel Advisor

Whether you want to travel in the next few months or next year, one of our Travel Advisors will help you navigate the added safety nuances and logistics. Our team gets updates from our partners on the ground and on property and can answer your questions or direct you to the best resources to stay informed.

3. Create a Plan

You want to take that safari but you aren’t quite ready to book yet. No problem! Follow steps 1 and 2 and start planning with your advisor. You can go ahead and decide what time of year, which lodges, how long, and more. Then, whenever you are comfortable pulling the trigger, your advisor can quickly book your trip.

4. Flexibility

One silver lining to COVID is that many travel companies, and airlines have more flexible terms and conditions.  We can guide you through the fine print for your particular trip so you can make the right decision for you and your family.

5. Buy Travel Insurance

Trip protection and travel insurance is always important for a trip, no matter your age or health status. But now it is more crucial than ever – and can be more confusing to figure out.
