Sustainable Community Excursions
for Seattle Area
Global Family Travels' Sustainable Community Excursions for the Seattle Area unite our Learn, Serve & Immerse travel pillars with the mission of the Impact Travel Alliance of Greater Seattle, by offering sustainable tourism opportunities that strengthen our local communities and alleviate poverty in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs). These community-based excursions support the preservation of local and native cultures, conservation, education and economic growth of Greater Seattle, and the good work of many Seattle-area non-profit organizations that address community challenges. Each tour also includes a small donation to the local non-profit partners we are supporting.

Indigenous Culture Excursion: Suquamish Tribe Culture & Heritage
The city of Seattle is named after the chief of the Suquamish and Duwamish people, Chief Seattle. We are excited to offer a sustainable community excursion in partnership with these tribes to learn about the indigenous cultures of the Greater Seattle community. This program highlights learning about the natives of our region, including their land, culture, language, environment, human rights, leadership, responsibility, understanding and cooperation.
