Seattle Waterfront: What To See In Seattle In One Day

Seattle Waterfront Past and Future:
An Ever-Evolving Shoreline

Seattle’s Central Waterfront has long been a place of gathering, evolving from Indigenous homelands stewarded by Coast Salish peoples to a bustling industrial center, and now into a revitalized civic space. The newly reimagined Waterfront Park invites visitors to explore this layered history through public art, parks, and pathways like the scenic Overlook Walk.

Our guided walking tour delves into the cultural, ecological, and historical transformations of the shoreline, from natural forces to massive infrastructure changes. As Seattle reconnects with its roots, the waterfront’s story becomes one of resilience, inclusion, and sustainable urban renewal.
